My daughter (Grade 8) and son (Grade 5) transferred to this school when NDIC School in Easthampton closed in June of 2007, along with 40 of their classmates. The principal and parish pastor welcomed them with open arms and have been very understanding of the situation. The academics are excellent--enriched courses are available. The school also has a vibrant art and music program, and participates in CYO basketball. My husband and I were worried at first, because my son was always only around family. My son absolutely loves his teacher and his school. His teacher has been excellent in bringing our son 'out of his shell'. She is very attentive and caring and has helped our son develop both mentally and socially. It's small size makes for a very personal experience with teachers, the principal and other students/parents. The principal has the ability to remember you by name, even after the first visit. There is an enrichment program for all grades with an advanced classroom study for the more advanced students in grades four through eight. There is never a communication problem of any kind. Problems can be addressed to the teachers or the principal directly. A big plus, no backpacks full of books to bring home, most of the work is done in the classrooms. Also, being a private school, there are no bullies, or troublemakers.”
