I truly enjoy all of my students and try very hard to make sure my students learn something new each day. The school has a wonderful discipline policy and has great administration. She has attended school there since she entered in the 6th grade. I can not say enough about how proud I am to say my child attends VSMS. She has excelled in all areas of academic. They have a band. You can play almost any instrument except for the piano. The only thing that is kind of bad about the school is that the kids misbehave. Their grades are great and their overall conduct is great. But in the past three years since Van Sickle has reopened the adminstration started out great and has gone down hill. Administrators threaten 'Lockdown' on entire classes. Administrators are (evidently) helpless to correct or control this situation. I must in all fairness add that in spite of all this my student managed very good grades. I can't help but wonder what could have been accomplished in a better environment. Today's students will be making gobal policies tomorrow with what they learn in our schools, the good and the bad.”
