I don't know why I am doing this because I feel I need to meet someone in person to "feel" their energy - not look at pictures and words. I just want to have fun and grow as a person and experience the best of life. I am a college professor and chair at a community college and get to do a lot of great things like travel and meet exceptionally talented people.

(I've decided to rewrite this and make it less of a ramble.) I'm a guy that isn't your average guy. My views and opinions are changeable and witty at their best and morbid and humorously indecent at their worst. My most common offenses (if you could call it that) are recalling the most uncommon facts and obscure anecdotes relating to things like what makes scotch tape work and applied physics of bending paper clips and saying the most unfiltered thing I can think of to see peoples reaction. I can laugh at just about anything, and I mean anything. I am inquisitive to a fault, I take things apart to see how they work and I have never found a tea that I didn't like. I'm very open minded and will usually try anything at least once.

I hate drama. I understand that no matter what, at some point in everyone's life, there's drama. The deal-breaker for me is if it's constantly surrounding you and/or you create it.

I'm there for the people close to me, the ones that I love, whenever and wherever. Family is my first and foremost priority. This includes a select few friends, too.

HATE liars, cheaters, backstabbers, two-faced fake people. I don't expect you to be perfect, but I do expect you to be loyal and honest. It's not much to ask for.

Well here it goes:

I think a lot about life, death, spirituality, and the like; I look into myself and the world around me when I am in my introspective mood. I write poetry, short stories make art, and photography when in the mood to share my introspective feelings with the world. I can have a very tortured artistic mind at times. I moved to this area to go to school and never left. I'm a night owl by nature and am glad to have a found a job that allows me to work overnight. That's my "grown-up" job. I'm lucky to have a second job that allows me to have fun and no stress-well, a different sort of stress- retail sales is not without it's challenges.
I finally acquired a cellphone within the last year and have developed a love of texting. For someone who hates talking on the phone, texting is a wonderful thing.
I love dancing- I take an adult jazz class during the school year and would love to find a really good adult ballet class to take as well.

I swore off coffee forever and am looking for a reason to go back to it. This last week has been hard without that extra kick. So I'm in a bad mood right now and maybe I shouldn't be writing this.

I like to discuss things, whether they be literature, math, science, engineering, politics or video games. I'm usually the least bored in a doctor's waiting room because I have so many ideas to think about. I like to think, and talk to other people who like thinking. I don't like most movies, but I like terrible movies than the average person likes average movies.

I believe the most important part of a relationship is understanding when someone needs space. Whether they are friends or lover, both should know that the other person has their own thing to do and their relationship does not change who they are. Each person should have their own life and not try to run the others' for them, instead supporting them for whatever both feel is a comfortable distance.

So... here we are again...

I just turned 36. I work as a full-time karaoke host and disc jockey, with a minimum of three shows per week and I also handle some office duties for the DJ company that I work for. I work at the Cadillac Ranch in Southington, CT every Wednesday and Thursday night, and then at Mingles Lounge every Sunday night. Soâ?¦ Iâ??m your typical night owl; sleep â??til noon, up â??til 4am. It sure keeps me busy. I have a monniker-- M.C. Man-Chicken-- which I "borrowed" from an episode of "My Name Is Earl". It's just kinda stuck.

In my free time, though, I'm still a video game fan. I playPlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii plus my PS2 here at home, and my Sony PSP when not at home. Say what you will about video games, but they're part of the package. We've been inseparable since I was 5... and have been a big part of my life in many respects ever since. Don't worry-- for the right people, I make time.

I like playing video games, although nowadays it's mostly mario games and Rock Band. I bum around the internet a lot and love reading funny articles and watching funny videos.
